About

TheTeh.com is a private personal site aims to share, inspire, inform, celebrate and appreciate life through images and words.

The Making of The Teh
TheTeh.com was born on 1 June 2003. It was evolved from a previously established (2001) site named Life Extract which was originally created using Microsoft FrontPage for sharing photos with family and friends. The early days of building TheTeh.com was attempted  using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX (DWMX) with great difficulty although it was functionally similar to the current site. In the meantime, Netobjects Fusion (NOF) was given a chance to construct TheTeh.com. Since then, NOF has won the competition over DWMX in taking care of this site because of its ease of use. Structural objects and navigation buttons were created using Corel Draw. All images (except Old Photos which were taken by Teh Siew Hooi, 1924-1981, using a Kodak? traditional film camera) were taken using Fujifilm Finepix 6900Zoom (2001-2004), Canon Powershot S1 IS (From June 2004) and Canon EOS 350D (From July 2005) digital cameras. Postprocessing software includes Capture One Pro (for RAW conversion), Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Lightroom (for creating flash slideshows) and Neat Image (for noise reduction).

Life Extract Photography section illustrates & document life through extracts of images of daily life at various places I have visited. One of the aims of this section is to provide viewers a summary of daily scenes at different locations throughout the world.

Projects section contains various projects or photojournals of interests such as Aquarium photography, short movie/video clips, product reviews, concerts, short trips/events. Grey subsection contains images of special interest submitted by the public.  Although music may be ‘off topic’ here, the Piano section lets you listen to some songs!

Products section contains various items for sale from time to time depending on availability. These items can be bought either directly by payments through PayPal to me or through ebay.co.uk.
