‘Amano-Style’ Moss Garden

From Tropical ‘Jungle’ To ‘Amano Moss Garden’
After one year aquascaping my Tropical jungle, I decided I needed something less chaotic and more Amano-like! I was lucky to buy some interesting rocks from a local fish shop when I was in Malaysia back in Dec 2006 (see my trips to the rainforest, mangrove swamps and lakes). I decided to get rid of my beloved centre-piece Java fern on bogwood and various other plants for the rocks. To keep things simple, I use my Xmas and erect mosses to create a ‘moss garden’! Below are some photos of the changing landscape...

Arranging the rocks are challenging! I have kept the foregound grass and one Crypt (back), added the Najas indica (left) which I collected from the freshwater lake in Malaysia.
