After months of reading reviews and comments on the net, I finally bought the S1 to replace my first digital camera Fuji 6900 which was a great camera (it took all the pics in this site) but too slow! I must say that having owned the S1 for only 2 days (bought yesterday 5th June 2004), it feels much faster (despite the much complained AF in low light) than the Fuji 6900! My over all conclusion is that I like this camera and image quality is about equal to the Fuji 6900 which has slightly higher resolution than the S1. My only major complain is the zoom being too FAST (from wide to tele) and therefore difficult to control mid range zoom. May be I will get better with more practice on controlling the zoom.
