Inspirations for ‘Iwaguami’ aquascape!
Anyone visting Ipoh city (in Perak state, West Malaysia) without paying a visit to its numerous infamous limestone caves would be a big mistake! Of the three limestone caves I have visited last Dec 2006 (see my other trips to the rainforest, mangrove swamps and lakes), my favourite one is ‘Kek-Lok-Tung’ Cave (see pictures below). It is less well kept compared to the other two (Sam-Poh-Tung and Perak-Tung) but it is more natural and bigger. The stone formations inspired my new ‘Amano-style’ Moss garden aquascape! |
