Malaysian Freshwater Lake Trip

(Canon 350D + Sigma 18-200mm)

Ipoh, the capital town of Perak State, is infamous for its tin mining lakes during the 19-20th century. This has resulted in the formation of numerous ponds and lakes dotted all over Ipoh outskits, Gopeng, Gatu Gajah, etc. One of these lake districts near Batu Gajah was turned into a luxury Golf club named Clear Water Sanctuary. It is situated about 30km from Ipoh. I was interested in the flora and fauna of the freshwater lakes and was interesting to find some aquatic plants growing in the lake! Also, found various freshwater snails species, including Melanoides tuberculata, Melanoides granifera, Physa sp., Lymnea sp and Apple snails. I was surprised to find a snail species that looks like Trapdoor snails! Please let me know if you can confirm the ID of this snail species.
