The lens is extended once turned on, zooming wide/tele does not move the lens further in or out (only a slight movement of several millimeters while zooming). This is great in terms of maintaining the compactness of the camera even at full 10x zoom (unlike Canon Pro 1 lens which extends a lot further at max zoom). Unfortunately, one has to buy lens adapter for lens thread if you want to add filters. |
