Siamese fighting fish or Plakat (Betta Splendens) mating ritual  was captured on video (17 April 2006). A pair of Pineapple plakats were embracing, the spawing process lasted an hour, about 80+ eggs were laid. Both parents then picked up the eggs and placed them in the floating bubble nest prepared by the male prior to mating. This movie was captured and kindly supplied by TzenLip who is currently trying to breed them. He recommends using Indian Almond leaves to induce mating.
